Following the discovery of two black snakes on Tuesday April 16 at the ministry of foreign Affairs report says the president George Weah has been told to stay away from his office until Monday next week.

According to eyewitnesses the two black snakes were seen coming from a hole on the wall behind the security desk on the ground floor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It remains unclear how the two reptiles entered the building.

The discovery of the two black snakes come just few months after president George Weah called on Liberians to pray for him and his government for God’s blessing.

In recent many Liberian clergymen have been calling for national prayer service for Liberia because God is not satisfied the way the country is being governed.

However, Executive Protection Service officers at the scene could not kill the snakes as they escaped through the same passage it attempted coming out from.

The building was said to be fumigated on April 1.

Deputy presidential Press secretary Smith Toby told local media on Thursday that  President George Weah has not gone to his office since the discovery of the snake at Foreign Ministry which housed his office.

The office of the president has been based in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since a fire in 2006 gutted the nearby presidential mansion.

All staff have been told to stay away until 22 April.

The Foreign Ministry has been ordered for re-fumigation before the president can return.
