A young Liberian Diplomat is challenging youths of the country to join him in show casing the country’s diplomacy work to the world.

John S. M. Yormie. Jr, is the coordinator and Officer in charge at the Foreign Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who has written a book entitled “Liberia in the colorful world of Diplomacy” explained that his work is intended to encourage the youthful population to think out of the box.

Yormie explained that the role of Liberia in the establishment of historical institutions in the African region and the world at large including the Organization of the African Union OAU now African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN), the Economic community of West African states or ECOWAS among others is significant not to be forgotten.

The foreign institute coordinator asserted that the significant role played by the country is been forgotten by the current generation, something he said can be corrected.

He challenged the present generation to show case their talent in other areas beside politics.

“We have to change the story of this country by paying attention on the work of diplomacy than just focusing on politics as young people.”

Mr. Yormie book is currently on sale at amazon.com while some copies are also in the country for sale.

“If I can start and complete this work, others can do even more than what I did, we have to work together”, he told LPR correspondent.

He is expected to do the first  launching of his book on May 11, 2019  at the Nimba county community colleague in Sanniquellie, the birth place of OAU now AU.

John Yormie Jr. is the son of the late John Yormie, deputy minister of national security who along with Isaac vaye was murdered in 2003 during the regime of former president Charles Taylor.

Former President Charles Taylor is currently serving a 50 year prison sentence for aiding and abetting war in neighboring Sierra Leone.
