An executive mansion source has told Liberia Public Radio that all is now set for the much anticipated address to Liberians by President George Manneh Weah at 12noon (8AM Eastern Standard Time).
Deputy presidential secretary Smith Toby told journalists earlier Wednesday that the president address will be broadcast live on state radio ELBC and rely on several local radio stations in Liberia. The president address is expected to highlight some prevailing national issues including the 25million United States dollars intended to mop-up excess Liberian dollars on the local market.
Already, the government through the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has requested the Liberia Ant-corruption Commission (LACC) to institute a forensic audit into the 25million dollars saga.
Weah address on the other hand is anticipated to include tough actions amid corruption allegations that continue to rock his government.
Liberians are keen to hear tougher decision from President George Weah against his officials who are linked to the corruption when he addresses the nation in few minutes.
Keep tuned for more from Liberia Public Radio as it breaks.
