In helping to improve the lives of young people and make them self-reliance, a former representative candidate of Nimba District #2 has donated 60 oil palm seeding to the youth groups in Yarpea May District.
Speaking to report via mobile phone from America recently, Mr. Matthew Gono said, his donation was based on the request from the youth group in that part of the district, and also intended to end the habit of young people begging from politician.
He claimed that there is a need for tangible things to be done in the lives of people who are considered as the future leaders.
Gono who is currently in the diaspora has been contributing to the well begin of citizens in the district through the “Ruth and Matthew humanitarian foundation with medical equipment and drug.
He at the same time called on youth of the district to think about initiative that will brighten their future, instead of always depending on handouts from politicians.
The district #2 former representative candidate donation is in support of the ongoing oil palm project initiated by the office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports County coordinator of Nimba intended to make the youth self reliance and productive.
For his part, the County Ministry of Youth and Sports Coordinator William Mandein has lauded Mr. Gono for what he calls his timely donation to the improvement of young people.
Mandein used the occasion and call on other humanitarian institutions, philanthropist to help the youth enlarged their farm and extent it to other parts of the county.
Yarpea Mah District is one of the 4 administrative districts that make up District #2 in Nimba County.
