The Sports Writer Association of Liberia seems to be in disarray with leadership crisis.
Things seem to be going downward as some members of the association are under the banner integrity Team are calling on the public not to do business with the current leadership.
According to a communication posted on social Media under the signature of the SWAL Integrity Team, the turner of its embattled President Roland Mulbah came to an end since December of 2018.
SWAL Integrity Team warns institutions and individuals to desist from doing business with the embattled SWAL leadership.
The Integrity Team claimed in its communication that they comprises of majority of SWAL members of the association and is calling on the public to desist from doing any business with the embattled leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia.
The SWAL Integrity team in a release over the weekend under the signature of the Secretariat said “this is a very serious warning that anyone doing business with the embattled leadership is doing so at their own risk.”
The Group added that their argument is based on the fact that the tenure of Roland Mulbah and his embattled leadership has expired since December 2018; as such the leadership is illegally operating in violation to SWAL‘s constitution!!
The Integrity team identified the ongoing legal battles between the leadership and some members of the organization due to elections irregularities as issues that should prevent people or institutions from doing business with the embattled SWAL leadership.
The Integrity team claimed that they have intelligence that some sporting federations, companies and individuals are being ask by the leadership to do business with them.
They are meanwhile calling on those federations and companies to resist and expose the ROLAND MULBAH led administration in an effort to protect their own reputation.
Reading their communication the Secretary Benjamin Garkpah re-emphasize that until those issues can be addressed, it is illegal to do business with the embattled leadership.
At the same time, SWAL Integrity Team is calling on the outgoing leadership to immediately step down for an interim leadership to take charge and lead the organization a transparent election.
According to the group, they believe that an interim leadership will unite and promote the organization which has been divided and disorganized for the last five years.
The SWAL Integrity Team used the occasion to extend words of Condolence to the bereaved family, players and staffers of the National Port Authority for the death of their Goal Keeper, Edwin Boakai.
The NPA goalkeeper recently met his untimely death after he collapsed during practice section and was subsequently pronounced died at the Redemption Hospital.
They described his death as an irreplaceable loss adding that the former IE and NPA shot stopper will be missed for his outstanding performance between the sticks and the commitment he showed toward the game.
