As early preparation for the 2019/2020 national county meet, Nimba County has concluded her district league. 

The district league is organized to select players for justification and later form part of the county team. 

Nimba County is pair this year in zone with Bong and host Lofa counties. 

Twah-River district # 4 won the championship of the Nimba County District Peace Tournament 2019, after whipping Sanniquellie-Mahn district #2, 2-1 in the grand final match on Sunday evening at a famous Gnata sport stadium. 

District#2 captain Emmanuel Azariah Paye got an opener for his side  26th minutes in the first half of the game.

The lone goal from striker Paye was enough to separate the two sides with District two heading to recess with a lead.  

Upon their return from the first half break District # 4 finding the equalizer in the 56th minute through Emmanuel Wehyee. 

District 4 playing in front of their lawmaker Rep. Gunpue L Kargon mounted more pressure on their opponent to ensure that they get their job completed.

The two sides ast Sunday settle down to a 2-2 draw promoting the match officials to reschedule a full 90 minutes due to lack of electricity for extra 30 minutes and a penalty shootout. 
 
At the end, it was Pee Weh the captain of district # 4 who brilliantly sneaked through the defense of district #2 to get the day for Rep.  Gonpue L. Kargon’s boys. Although Weh was expected to be in an offside position,but assistant number 2 Abraham K. Geddeh signaled for goal to the dismay of fans of district # 2.
