Rep. Jeremiah Koung presents new development projects to Nimba

Nimba County District # 1 Representative Jeremiah Kpahn Koung over the weekend dedicated two separate projects for use by people of the district.

The projects are the small Ganta market hall and the Wuo’s Town hall all located in the district.

Making remarks at separate projects dedication Rep. Koung   lauded the people of the two communities for accepting the projects to be their own and working with the contractors collaboratively to the end.

He cautioned them to maintain the buildings and make proper use of it.

During the dedicatory ceremony in Small Ganta, the District # 1 policy maker donated five 16 channel mixer to five community radio stations across Nimba County.

He  said it was his own way of contributing to the work of the community radio stations for the many scarifies they have done over the years and continue to do for the people of Nimba.

Giving the background of the project in small Ganta, a prominent son of the community Saye Kodea disclosed that after several failed attempts by the community to construct their own market hall, it was the lawmaker who came to their cry by taking the initiative to construct the market building.

Kodea lauded Representative Kung for his many development good ways to the people of his district.

For the Wuo’s Town community Town Hall project, the Community Chairman Wuo P. Konah explained that Rep. Koung intervention was timely adding that they have never had a town hall in the area since it became a community.

“We used to sit under the sun to have meeting, sometimes we will go in some of the community dwellers house when strangers come to us and the places can’t accommodate everyone, but today Hon. Koung has taken us for this problem.”

Chairman konah shower God’s blessing on the District # 1 lawmaker for his development gesture.

Other Stations that benefited for the donations include: Voice of Gompa in Ganta City, Karn Voice of Peace in Karnplay, Radio Zoe Geh in Bahn City, Radio Tappita and Radio Seletorwah of Ganta City.

Representative Koung promised to extend his gesture to all of the radio stations in Nimba county, cautioning them to always be positive in disseminating the rightful information to the public.
