The paramount Chief of Kpaai Chiefdom District #1 in Bong County Harrison Tete has expressed disenchantment over the behavior of Representative Albert B. Hills that is leading to him not receiving his monthly salary for two years.
Speaking to LPR Bong County Correspondent recently in the district, chief Tete said, since he was appointed by the president of Liberia two years now in office he is yet to receive his monthly salary; a situation he described as ‘challenging’ in the Weah led-administration.
He has also blamed the Representative Albert Hills for failing to advocate on he and his colleagues behalf.
The chief told our correspondent that the Representative Hills has been silent since his ascendancy as Representative of the District in the county to ensure that citizens of the area plights are addressed.
“Although my name was submitted doing the Harmonization process for me to receive monthly salary but nothing has happened since then”, he adds.
The disenchanted paramount Chief, further that, the absence of the district lawmaker and the lack of information to the citizens about what is happening at the legislature is deeply affecting his works and also creating a vacuum in the area.
Chief Tete noted development will not be explored in the area unless the district Lawmaker corroboratively works with the local authorities in pushing the development agenda of Kpaai District.
District #1 in Bong County is one of the biggest districts that comprise of four administrative districts that including Kpaai, Boinsen, Kokoyah and Tokpablee.

Paramount chief Tete is at the same time admonishing the Young people of Liberia and the members of the council of patriots to stay away from protest next time, because protest has the clear attempt of undermining the fragile peace of our country.
He added that young people of the country should see dialogue as a perfect channel of engaging National Government.
Meanwhile Bong County District#1 Representative Albert Hills has refuted claims that Kpaai is under-developed because he[Rep. Hills] is not working with the local administration of the area.
Representative Hills told LPR news that while it is not his responsibility to employ local government officials, he will not agree with paramount chief Teeh assertion against him.
He clarified that is the responsibility of Ministry of Internal Affairs to ensure that local county officials who were appointed by the president are paid.
