Turkey mining company MNG gold Liberia has broken grounds for the construction of a health center in Sayewheh Town, Boinsen clan Kokoyah statutory District in Bong County.
The grounds broken ceremony which took place over the weekend for the construction of the health center is part of MNG gold Liberia corporate social responsibility to the people of the district.
As part of the MOU signed by the Kokoyah Development steering committee (KDSC) and MNG, the Mining Company is to construct a health center between Sayewheh and David Dean towns for use by the citizens of the district to enable them receive medication.
Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony, the General Manager of the company MR. CEM FORAY YAGCI disclosed that MNG gold Liberia will financed the construction work as the project is expected to be completed on or before the 31st December.
He cautioned the citizens to collaborate with them and ensure that the project came be completed in time.
For his part, Bong County Senator Henry W. Yallah expressed gratitude to the company adding that when completed, the facility will help government and address the health needs of the people in that part of the county. Senator Yallah used the occasion and admonished his citizens to consider the project as their own.
The health center when completed will provide services to residents of Kokoyah District including neighboring boarding towns of Nimba and Grand Bassa counties.
The program was attended by the Management of MNG, MR. ERKAN Yildiz Director of Global communication and social sustainability among others.
Others are Bong County senator. Henry W. Yallah, Representative Albert B. Hills, Bong county health team and the County Inspector Victor Wesseh representing the local county administration.
