Nimba youth Coordinator: ‘Respect stay-home order’

The Youth and Sports County Coordinator of Nimba has urged young people in the habit of provoking or challenging state security officers assigned in the County to desist. 

Making the disclosure to reporters recently in the county, Mr. William Mandein asserted that had call was  based on series of complaints  about youths challenging and provoking security apparatus  enforcing the State of Emergency declared by President George Weah to help curb the spread of the Covid-19.

Mandein added that the act is unbecoming, unacceptable and does not reflect a good image of young people who are considered to be the future leaders of the country. 

He urged   personnel of state security to take   tougher action against those in the habit of violating the SOE to serve as deterrent to anyone contemplating on following their ugly footsteps nothing that the safety of the state should not be compromised. 

Recently, it was reported on a local Radio stations in central and  lower Nimba County that some group of young people  and cyclists were bent on challenging the joint Security who were enforcing the SOE and stay home order.

Intervening in the situation, Nimba County Inspector Mark Gblinwon told the youths that it was not time for young people to engage in drugs addiction to challenge state security.
