Man, 52, Charged for murder and aggravated assault in Bong County

The Liberia National Police Bong Detachment, has charged and sent to court a 52year old man Jocab S. Nyumah for murder and aggravated assault.

 

Defendant Nyumah allegedly fired his 38 year old girlfriend Fatu Yarkpah in  Mansasu town, Salala District, lower Bong county with a signal Barrow gun on grounds that she was having an extran marital affair with another person in the town.

According to reliable source , victim Yarkpah and her husband Jacob were having serious misunderstanding prior to her death on April 26, night.

 Speaking to LPR at the LNP headquarters, defendant Jacob Nyumah admitted to the commission of the crime but stated he could not control   frustration.

 He said victim Fatu had earlier on threatened to leave him for another man, a situation he described as ‘unbearable’ and decided to take her life once and for all.

The report also had it that after shooting victim Fatu Yarkpah, Nyumah escaped into the Bush while victim Fatu was rushed at the CH Rennie Hospital in Kakata Margibi County, where she was pronounced dead by Doctors.

The Liberia National Police Bong county Detachment also charged, Augustine P. Yah for criminal facilitation and illegal possession of fire arm.

LNP   Bong county commander of crime services division John Kellenso Flomo told journalists that it was Augustine P. Yah’s gun defendant Nyumah used to killed his wife in the area.
