Cummings Africa Foundation donates assorted food items in Nimba

Amid the fight against the coronavirus, the Cummings Africa Foundation over the weekend donated several food items to various institutions in Nimba County. 

Making the donation at various locations in Nimba, one of the Foundation Nimba Executives Mr. Saye M. Lakpor said it was the Foundation way of identifying and contributing to the fight in the county. 

Cummings Africa Foundation is a charity organization own and operated by the political leader of the Alternative National Congress Alexander B. Cummings. 

The Foundation has been in the process of helping the needed, awarding scholarship to students in Liberia and around Africa. 

Lakpor explaining during the donation on behalf of the Foundation said, it was prudent to aid government in providing food to healthcare provider across the county. 

The Cummings Africa Foundation donated 175 bags of 25kg rice, 30 bags of Super Gari, 48 gallons of red oil, and 40 bags of tied soap to 14 institutions in the county. 

Lakpor asserted that purchasing of locally produce red oil and super Gari was a means of empowering Liberian own businesses. 

Institutions that benefited from the donation include the Ganta United Methodist Hospital, Flumpa Clinic, Kanwee Clinic, William R Tobert Memorial Orphanage home, Saclepea Comprehensive health clinic, United Liberia Inland Church Clinic and Mother Theresa Orphanage home. 

Others are: Kpaytuo clinic, Bahn Health Center, Tobah Academy, Nehgbein Community, RP Orphanage home, G. W. Harley Hospital in Sanniquellie and the Nimba County leadership. 

For the G. W. Harley Hospital the  government Hospital in Sanniquellie, it benefited 20 bags of 25kg rice, 2 bags of Super Gari, 5 gallons of red oil and 4 bags of tied soap. 

Receiving the items on behalf of their respective institutions, Officers in Charge and various heads lauded the Cummings Africa Foundation for the gesture.  

For his part, the Nurses Director at the George Way Harley Hospital in Sanniquellie Joseph Nenwah appreciated CAF for the intervention and described it as timely. 

He called on other well meaning Liberians to think about healthcare provider during this critical time in the country.
