The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has disposed several assorted expired goods from the Jungle Water Group of Investment Company in Sanniquellie City, Nimba County.
The goods which majority of them was drinks were collected from the Jungle Water warehouse located in Sanniquellie
Speaking to reporters after the disposal exercise, the Deputy Inspector General for Rural at the Ministry of Commerce Adophus B. Parker disclosed that the goods were collected after a tip-off and collaborations from the Commerce Inspectors and the Jungle Water administration.
Parker revealed that the Commerce Ministry is always working in the interest of the ordinary people to ensure that they can consume up to date goods in the society.
He mentioned that most of the goods got expired in 2018, 19 and early 2020.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Jungle Water Group of Investment company Mr. Floyd Seh Tomah Sr, the process was initiated by his institution after observing that most of the goods in his warehouse were expired.
He said Jungle Water as a company, is a respector of the Commerce law and the laws of Liberia.
Mr. Tomah Sr placed the value of the disposed goods at over $ 5,000USD.
