Open Bible School Alumni Association gifts teachers with COVD-19 relief items

The Monrovia Open Bible Standard School Alumni Association (MOBSSAA) has identified with faculty and Teachers amidst the Coronavirus.

The Association donated 40 bags of 25kg rice to the institution intended for the faculty and teachers.

President of the Alumni Edwin Myers said the gesture is the association way of identifing with teachers during the COVID-19.

According to him, private school teachers are finding it difficult to carter to their family within this health crisis.

Edwin Myers said as former students it breaks their heart knowing how challenge their instructors are due to the crisis.

Making the donation at the school campus on the Old Road, he said as former students they thought it wise to reach out to their teachers knowing the implication.

He noted the donation was made possible through few of the alumni and hope more can be done to ease the burden of the teachers.

Receiving the donation, Monrovia Open Bible Standard School Principal Isaiah Gbotoe said the action by the Alumni remember their instructors during these difficult times is commendable.

According to him, the Association is living and not existing; noting only those who are living can recognize others constrains and identify with them.

“Now I can say the Monrovia Open Bible Standard School Alumni Association is living and not existing, because it is only people who are existing can see people problem and help”.

According to him, their efforts in forming the Alumni years back when those that are involve were still students either in high school or elementary was not a mistake.

He noted some of the reasons are manifested through the gesture by them to identify with them.

Mr. Gbotoe said he also believes that they were led by God, because the Bible teaches Christians to be their brother keepers.

He then thanked the Alumni for the gesture and prayed God blessings upon them to keep on the good job.
