Incest seems to be on the Rise in Montserrado County where biological fathers are said to be their own girl children to satisfy their sexual desire even though some have their women living together.
Just barely a day after a 51 year old biological father identified as Diven Ben was charged and sent to court for allegedly raping his 16year old daughter, another biological father known as Hanson Day- Break Nyemah again has been arrested, investigated, charged and sent for allegedly raping his 11year old daughter in Rock Spring Valley, Capital Bye-pass.
Police charge sheet revealed that on Tuesday June 30,2020, mother of the survivor and a resident of the Caldwell New Georgia reported to the women and children protection section and alleged that her 11year old daughter was sexually abused (raped) by her biological father defendant Hanson Nyemah age 39.
It further disclosed that during interview with the survivor, she told police investigators that on Sunday June 21,2020, her mother told her that her father defendant Nyemah should go spend time with him.
During the investigation, the survivor stated that, on Tuesday June 23,2020, her step mother Mamie Johnson and her father smoke marijuana, cigarette, drink liquor and had confusion and because of that, her step mother slept on the floor and while her step mother was at sleep, her father called her on the bed to sleep with them.
While, they were sleeping, her father started fingering her and later got on top of her and had sex with her by inserting both his finger and his penis in her private part.
She narrated to the investigator that after he finished satisfying his sexual desire, he told her not to tell anybody and he promised to buy her market to sell.
In the morning hour on June 24,2020,her father saw her naked and asked her as to what happened to her but she told him nothing and added that on the same day of the incident, she got sick and told the father and later went to take bath but saw brownish discharge in her under clothes.
On the very day, she it was when her father took her to the market and bought her the items he promised to buy her.
The rape survivor also maintained that on the 28 of June 2020, her aunt carried her back to her mother in Caldwell New Georgia after which when her aunty left.
Narrating further she inform her mother that her stomach was hurting, when she was asked about her illness, she told her mother and aunty that her father defendant Nyemah has sex with her in his room and dirty water came from her private part and later she started feeling weak and vomited and she was taken to the hospital.
For his part, defendant Hanson Day Break Nyemah, he was arrested, acquainted with his Miranda rights and duly investigated in the presence of his elderly sister, he chose to remain silent.
He admitted during the interview that his daughter spent time with him for one week and that he bought her clothes, slappers, biscuits, candies and also admitted that he smokes marijuana, drink alcohol and sells cigarettes along with liquor but denied having sex with his own daughter on June 23, 2020.
What did investigation found?
That the survivor is biological child to defendant Hanson Day Break Nyemah.
That the defendant and his girlfriend smoke marijuana and the statement of the survivor corroborated with the witnesses statements.
That the defendant bought those items he promised his daughter and he sells liquor and cigarettes at home.
From June 24 to July 2,2020, the survivor had been receiving brownish discharge.
A medical report from the Redemption hospital ( one stop center) dated July 1,2020, indicates hymen heal slight tear at 5′ & 11′ o clock; vagina penetration seen from blunt object with brownish seen.
Based upon the investigation analysis, defendant Nyemah was charged with the crime of incest and rape in violation of Chapter 14 Section 14:70 of the rape law of the Act to and the Amended the new penal code which provides for Gang rape.
Section 14:70 which states “a person who has sexual intercourse with another person (male or female) has committed rape if
(a)(I) he Intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus, mouth or any opening of another person ( male or female) with his penis without the victim consent.
(b) the victim is less than eighteen years old, provided the actor is eighteen years of age or older.
Meanwhile, defendant Nyemah has sent to the Monrovia Central prison by the Monrovia City Court awaiting court trial.
