The Office of Liberian First Lady is commending the government and the First Lady of the People’s Republic of China, Peng Liyuan, for their continued support to Liberia.

The materials include eighteen thousand surgical masks and 120 electronic thermometers along with 200 (25kg) bags of rice added by the Chinese Embassy near Monrovia.

During a brief presentation ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Monday, July 13, 2020, Madam Mediem prayed that the cordial relations between the two countries and Peoples will continue to grow from strength to strength.

Speaking earlier the Charge D’affairs at the Chinese Embassy near Monrovia, Xu Kun recounted the long-standing collaboration and mutual support between the two countries.

The Chinese envoy said that having donating to Liberia’s fight against covid19, his country was particularly concerned about the vulnerability of many women and children in Liberia, prompting the donation to the Office of the First Lady.
