The political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC) has blamed supporters of the ruling coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) for a saga that led to the besieging of the B-2 Guest House where he and Montserrado District#10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah   were residing on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

In an interview with Liberia Public Radio from the incident scene, Mr. Alexander Cummings described the situation that led to the damaging of Representative Yekeh Kolubah’s vehicle as “unacceptable”.

“We’re very disappointed about what happen here this morning. I believe if the county leadership did not want this it would not had happened.

“This is not the Liberia we all opt for, we are going to through our process, nothing going to stop”, Mr. Cummings added.

According to Cummings the situation was designed by the leadership of Grand Gedeh county noting that the people of Grand Gedeh are decent people.

Despite the fracas, Cummings said the CPP is more determined to continue its presence in Grand Gedeh County and called on those behind the stoning and mocking of he and his entourage to desist from such attitude.

CPP is the four-party coalition comprising the opposition Alternative National Party, Liberty Party, All Liberian Party and the former ruling Unity Party.

Huge crowd besieged the Guest Hours for several hours during the early morning throwing stones, something that prompted the security forces to move in to clear the area.
