A man 38 years old identified as Daniel Toe has been sentenced to Jail for allegedly rapping a 11 years old Dugbarmah Paye [not her real name].
On Saturday, August 8, 2020, Parents of the victim reported to the women and Children protection section of the Liberia National Police investigation in Pleebo, Maryland County about the alleged rape of their daughter.
The 11- years- old victim was immediately rushed to the Pleebo Health Center in Maryland County for proper assignation but health authority at the facility disclosed that she was alleged temple with.
Narrating the entire story about how she was rape at her resident Thursday, August 13, 2020 the 11 years old Dugbarmah Paye said, she went to visit her friend who is a relative to the suspect in Zone # 6 Catholic Missing.
She continues that while there, the 38 years old Suspect that she has not seen in her life called Ade her friend to prepare some food for him; her friend Ade did something, which she stressed.
She furthers, after her friend has gone through the preparation of the food, he ate, so both she and her friends decided leaving when this suspect call her into the room informing her that he wants to have an sexual intercourse with her.
The 11 years old said, she vehemently refused and try escaping from the room when she felt down and this 38 years old clamp on her to have a sexual intercourse.
The victim further disclosed that with all the shouting her voice couldn’t come out because the suspect has cover her mouth with his bedsheet.
She later said it was her friends that forced the door of the room before she was released by him, informing her not to share the information with her parents because if do, he will go to jailed.
the suspect has since denied allegations when he was arrested by the Liberian National Police Detachment in Pleebo, Maryland County.
He has spent 2 nights behind bar before being forward to the Pleebo Magisterial Court.
While at the Court Tuesday, August 12, 2020, the Magisterial Court indicated that Suspect Daniel Toe age 38 has committed a statutory rape; Claiming that such case is above the trail Jurisdiction of the Pleebo Magistral Court and has being transferred to the Fourth Jurisdiction Court in Harper, Maryland County.
Suspect Toe behavior was in violation of the section 14.70 of the revised rape law of Liberia which state;
A person who has sexual intercourse with another (Male or Female) has committed rape if; (a)| He intentionally penetrates the Vagina, Anus, Mouth or any other opening of another person (Male or female) with his penis without the victim consent.
Suspect Daniel Toe is also well-known businessman in the past but his hands has gone down making he to get into alcoholic behavior.
Community dwellers indicated that sometimes he spend whole day on drinking spot.
