However, the government of President Weah he said ‘lacks the ability’ to protect its citizens as the results of the constant raping of children and women without any serious intervention of the central government make the people more vulnerable in the state.

Professor Tokpa pointed out that there is the need for stakeholders to review the Comprehensive Peace Agreement which called for peace and security for the people under a democratic government, but President Weah his officials have not been able to demonstrate that leadership ability since he took the mantle of authority almost 3 years ago.

He asserted that “the current situation that is ongoing in the country and in the government, Liberians should not keep quiet and just look at the situation’ but they should begin to talks about these issues to draw the government and international community attention to ensure that the President Weah and his officials do the right thing for which are pay with the Liberian people money”.

However, he added that the NDC will seat and allow the undermining the democratic process which has initiated by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement after 250,000 Liberians died due to lack of free and transparent elections results.

Professor Tokpa emphasized that political parties representatives have been denied the participation of the 2017 voter roll clean up and this could lead to the justification for other to initiate war, noting that Liberians are anger and bitter over what is going on in the country.

According to him, NEC should ensure that peace and security are maintain in Liberia by involving the Inter-Party Consultative Committee which all political parties representatives are represented should be involve in the cleanup exercise of the 2017 voter roll to avoid electoral violence.
