The 8th judicial circuit court in Sanniquellie on September 3, 2020 released a final verdict of a murder case involving Clinton Zuweh, Princeton Yanamah and the late Jericho Suahgonlah.
Reading his final verdict in the case, Cllr. Roland F. Dahn, Resident Judge at the 8th judicial circuit court found Princeton Yanamah guilt of criminal facilitation and sentenced to a 3-year imprisonment commencing from the date of his arrest, while defendant Clinton Zuweh was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 10 years in imprisonment.
It can be recalled that on May 13, 2020 in Sanniquellie, the late Jericho Suahgonlah and Clinton Zuweh engaged in a fistfight over disagreement about $ 5:00LRD (US$0.025) change when the late Suahgonlah had gone to purchased a 5 minute Lone Star from Clinton.
According to the verdict, defendant Clinton Zuweh violated chapter 14, section 14.1 (a &b) of the New panel law of Liberia for murdering Suahgonlah.
The judge in his ruling, States that “defendant Clinton Zuweh and Suahgonlah have been parted from a fistfight for the first time and he Clinton returned for the second time with his brother at this time with a deadly weapon which he successfully used on Suahgonlah while his elder brother Princeton Yanamah was on the other hand fighting him, this court has on other option but to find the defendant guilty of murder. “
Co- defendant Princeton Yanamah was found guilty of the charge of Criminal fascination and he was sentenced to a definite prison term of three (3) year’s commencing from the date of his arrest, while defendant Clinton Zuweh was found guilty of the crime of Murder and he was sentenced to a definite prison term of ten (10) years commencing from the date of his dention.
