Liberians are currently awaiting the findings of the autopsies being conducted on three auditors and a research analyst.
As government concludes autopsies on remains of auditors and research analyst on Monday October 19- 20, 2020 respectively.
The three auditors are Albert Peters deputy commissioner for auditor at LRA, George Fahnboto auditor for Large tax division at LRA and Emmanuel B. Nyesnwah Internal Audit Agency and a research analyst Gifty Lamah of the LRA.
Both George Fahnboto of LRA and Emmanuel B. Nyenswah autopsies were being conducted on Tuesday October 20,2020, while Mr. Albert Peters and Gifty Lamah autopsies were conducted on Monday October 19,2020 at the St. Moses funeral Parlour.
Mr. Fahnboto and Mr. Nyenswah families member were represented during the autopsies which lasted for more than four hours.
The two Liberian Pathologists are Doctors Benedict B. Kolee and Zoebon B. Kparteh of Ministry of Health and John F. Kennedy memorial hospital respectively.
Dr. Kolee briefing the press and other civil society organization, representative from the Ministry of Justice, Police spokesman Moses Carter among said, autopsy is mostly done to discover the scientific cause of death.
Every step of the autopsy on Monday October 19,2020, was being explained by the two pathologists and everyone who attended the autopsy was allowed to asked questions if they don’t understand anything during the conduct of the autopsy, our reporter said.
Dr. Kolee further told attendees of the autopsy that they do not have special interest in government, neither the families nor the victims.
The Liberian Pathologists said all of the autopsies conducted in Liberia by them, have been a poor Bono service.
During a conduct of an autopsy, normally many people are allowed to be there but due to the public perception, many people including journalists were allowed within the room where the autopsy were being conducted Dr. Kolee told our reporter in an interview.
By law only corronor and police should be allowed in the autopsy room but due to nature of case, they open it to the public, Liberia Public Radio reporter on the scene said.
The autopsy were attended by Police spokesman Moses Carter, Ministry of Justice Public Relation Officer, madam Bernice Freeman from Women in Peace Network (WIPNET) and Journalists among others.
Meanwhile, both George Fahnboto who allegedly died in accident along the Boulevard 722nd Road on October 4,2020, and Emmanuel B. Nyenswah autopsy are slated for tomorrow October 20,2020.
The autopsy of Mr. Peters and Mrs. Lamah lasted for over four hours at the St. Moses Funeral Parlour on the Somalia drive Garderville.
It can recalled on October 2, 2020 Albert Peters and Gifty Lamah of the LRA lifeless bodies were discovered in Mr. Peters vehicle on Snapper Hill up Broad Street.
While, George Fahnboto was believed to have died in a tragic motor accident and on October 10,2020, Internal Audit Agency boss Emmanuel B. Nyenswah lifeless body was also discovered at a his residence believed to have fallen from upstairs.
‘Distrust’
Families of the deceased auditors have since expressed fear that government hired pathologists will not be fair since in fact, government chief spokesman has earlier said those individuals were not auditors.
Information Minister Legerhood Rennie recently told the BBC that the government is concerned with the deaths of the four, but ruled out that they were auditors.
