The Chief Executive Officer of the John‘s St. Paul Rum Product of Liberia has stressed the significant for Liberian owned businesses to be transformed from street vending to entrepreneurship, if Liberians should take over economy of their country
According to Mr. John T. Richardson, the transformation of Liberian businesses will go a long way to ensure that Liberians take ownership of the economic status in the nation.
Mr. Richardson made the assertion Wednesday when the Rum products were exhibited at the Renaults cars showroom on the Bye Pass in Monrovia.
He noted that Liberian businesses can be transformed when the central government empowers Liberian entrepreneurs to be competitive with their foreign counterparts in the business community in Liberia.
He realized that more Liberians have being involve with street vending over the years which have not make any major transformation in advancing Liberian businesses.
Mr. Richardson asserted that empowerment of Liberians in the business community will create more Liberian entrepreneurs which could lead to major investments owned by citizens across the country.
He cited that why is it true the central government needs taxes to carryout government function ,Liberian small businesses should be considered in issues relating to their tax payment rather than closing them down.

Mr. Richardson maintained that central government should do everything possible to ensure that Liberian businesses advance to another level then just street vending, noting that the private sector is the engine for economic growth in any nation and Liberia cannot be exception.
Richardson emphasized that the private sector through entrepreneurship huge jobs can be created along with the effective generating of taxes can be realized among Liberian businesses in the near future, but government needs to empower them initially
