Trafficked children’s parents demand justice

Ten parents of several Children trafficked 16 years ago are demanding justice and the immediate release of the living bodies of their children.

The parent recently stormed the Temple of Justice ground demanding the living bodies of their children who they said were taken away by an entertainment center known as Destiny owned by Marian Morgan, Edwin Walker and Ernest Urey.

The three defendants are currently in court for alleged trafficking of two children from separate mothers but the ten parents case is not yet in court and they have threatened to take the matter to highest height.

The first two children case has been in court since 2018, but the judge is yet to hand down verdict into the matter.

According Betty Flomo in her 50s,  said since 2004, defendant Marian Morgan went to her on 10th  Street in Sinkor and informed her that  a Christian organization was helping a post war children and began taking the particular of her daughter who was then 1 year few months old.

She told our reporter that since taking her daughter way, she was only left with her photo which she usually looks at during night hours.

Prolong verdict for first case

Judge Sienneh Clinton Johnson set ruling in the first trafficking case for Wednesday October 21 but sent excuse due to her ailment thus prompting the other parents to stage protest saying that the court was not serious about their case.

Our reporter said underage girls and women whose Children we’re trafficked were all at the Temple of Justice demanding children’s release from Marian Morgan and the two other defendants.

Final Argument into the matter was heard in July of this year and since then Judge Johnson has allegedly refused to hand down verdict with excuses taking the lead.

Record in the possession of Defense for children International , a local NGO working in the defense of children shows that 550 Children were taken away from Liberia to the United States of America illegally between 2004 to 2020.

Among the 550, 32 children came from Todee suburb of Montserrado, while the rest came from Gbarpolu, Bong, Cape Mount and Grand Bassa Counties.

In 2006, Edwin Walker took his two children from their mothers illegally and brought them to Marian Morgan owner of Destiny whose normal business is to buy children and take them to the United States for reasons unknown.
