The Liberia National Police has announced the arrest of the Head of a notorious gang group in Paynesville,Varney Kaizulu,alias Azonto.
Deputy Police Director for Operations Marvin Sackor said Varney Kaizulu was arrested along side with two of his closed associates during the early morning hour of Thursday.
The Gang group Kuba, has been involved in constant attacked on the homes of peaceful citizens in search for valuables.
Col. Sackor insisted that anyone associated with the notorious Kuba Gang group will be arrest and prosecuted.
He disclosed that Varney Kaizulu and his associates who were arrest will be process in 48-hour and forwarded to Court for prosecution.
“There will be no space for any individual or criminal gang like Kuba in the Liberian society to terrorize people citizens,Col”. Sackor stresses.
“Effective Monday, January will are starting inspection and registration of vehicles to ensure compliance to public safety”, the Deputy Police Director insisted.
“In the year 2021, the Government of Liberia through the LNP has resolved to place serious emphasis on public safety,” Col. Said explained.
In another development,Internal Affairs Minister Varney Sirleaf wants Liberians project positive image of the Country to enable government attract foreign direct investment.
Minister Sirleaf however called on Liberians to stop making utterances that will scare away investors and undermine the Country’s peace.
Speaking Thursday at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing in Monrovia, the internal affairs Minister noted that it is the utmost obligations of all Liberians to keep the peace.
Minister Sirleaf observed that maintaining the peace will lead the Country to prosperity.
Meanwhile, Minister Sirleaf has assured Liberians of the conduct of a peaceful County meets across the Country.
