Joshua Brown, a 22 year-old man accused of raping a 12-year-old has denied the allegation against him.
Brown told LPR correspondent in Bong County that the allegation levied against does not have the iota of truth, stressing that as a grown-up man; nothing can control him to have sex with his niece.
Joshua was charged for statutory by the Liberia national police, women and children Protection Section while awaiting court trial in Bong County.
According to a, medical report dated March 22, 2021 shows that the survivor was tempered with sexually.
Joshua Brown, who believes to cousin of the victim committed the act on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Gehyea town in Bong County, the Liberia national police, women and children protection detachment disclosed to reporters.
At the same time, the victim explained to reporters that while at sleep, Joshua secretly entered her room through the window, immediately undressed her, and sexually abuse her.
“I was sleeping when I woke up, I felt the sharp pain, when my cousin was roughly sexing me then I shouted, that’s how he run away from the room, “she said.
“She is lying, this is not true, under no condition I will be brave to do such thing to my blood family, “Joshua said.
He however pleaded for speedy and thorough investigation in the matter in order to calm the situation.
