Paynesville -Liberia, Police in Monrovia are working to identify a man found dead naked early, Thursday Morning, April 15, 2021 in a pool of blood near the national Police training Academy, Paynesville City, outside Monrovia.
Officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) on the scene said a neighbor spotted the body in a pool of blood with wound on his face, early thursday morning and reach out to the Police academy barrack, nearby who were able to deployed a team of Police force on the scene and await forensic team of the Ministry of Health to come and examine the body of a young man.
Liberia Public radio National reporter Emmanuel wise Jipoh, who visited the scene said the body is that of a man between the ages of 30 and 40 years old. The body was found naked, with cut on his face, while a rope was tie on his hand, lying near the Impact Ministry Church along the Police academy road.
Police whom removed the body from the main drive-way, from Tubman Boulevard to Paynesville Redlight, area realized the man had been wound on his face probably beating to death.
Residents of the lover streets community, whom spoke to Liberia Public radio, alleged that the young man was actually beaten and drop along the by an unknown vehicle and later discover dead.
Mark M. Sonnie a resident of the lover streets Community, explained to LPR, that it was shocking when he woke early Thurday morning, while on his way to the Church for morning prayer and discover the man, tie with rope on his hands sitting in the middle of the road with blood stem around his body.
According to Sonnie at that point residents inform the Police Barrack, who than deployed men on the scene and remove the guy, who was by then between life and death from the main road to the sidework near the impact ministry church, were he spend about 30minutes before succumbing to death.
“This morning I come out here to go to the Church for morning prayer, that I usually done and I saw this man, in the middle of the road, breathing bit by bit, so I decided to go closer that how I saw a road tie on his hands and tieby to the back, seem to to be criminal, Sonnie told Liberia Public radio.
It seem to be he was beaten and drop there by an unknown men, that individual isn’t even from our community I have live year over ten years and I haven’t seen a face like this in our area. Probably he’s a rough who was beaten and drop here, from the look of things, he is criminal, Sonnie added.
Meanwhile, Forensic team and medical examiner’s from the Ministry of Health (MOH) arrive on the scene to examine the body, but what exactly that killed the young man, wasn’t disclose to the Media, up till Press time as investigation continues.
The Liberian Government is seriously against the act mob- violence and this continue to rise series of alarm in the Country, recently another man was found dead in the Gobashop market as a result of Mob-violence .
