Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – The former Secretary General of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA), Arthur Weah Doe, is now a married man.
Mr. Doe bade farewell to bachelorhood on Sunday April 11, 2021 when he formally took the hands of gorgeous, Edith Fanta Kamara, as his lawfully wedded wife until “death do them part”. The marital ceremony was conducted at the Victory Harvest Fellowship International Church located in Southwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Pastor Anthony Sengbe of the Victory Harvest Fellowship International Church officiated at the ceremony. He spoke on the theme, Are you Still in Love?.
The eminent US based Liberian clergyman congratulated the couple on their marriage. He said, “It is honorable to marry because it a blessing from God; and you must be proud of yourself”.
He advised the newly wedded couple to demonstrate love for one another in whatever they do. He emphasized, “Love is an action word; and you must show it in your daily interactions. It goes beyond sex and kisses.”
In brief remarks, Mr. and Mrs. Doe promised to maintain their marriage by eschewing acts that have the propensity of putting asunder what the Lord has blessed.
Scores of US based Liberians including Liberia’s Ambassador accredited to Washington, D.C., George S.W. Patten, and ULAA President emeritus, Wilmot Kunney, graced the wedding ceremony.
Also, in attendance were the National President emeritus of the Association of Liberian Journalists in the Americas (ALJA), Moses D. Sandy, the President of the Liberian Community Association in the Washington Metropolitan, Prof.
Welma Mashinini Redd and former Veteran Journalist of the Republic of Liberia and then President of ULSU Kwame Clemens and relatives and friends of the bride and groom.
