As Government grabble with the resurgence of the new variant of the COVID across the country all efforts are being made to curb the crisis, especially with high increase of confirmed cases.

An eminent son of Lofa County Pepci Quiwu Yeke has joined the fight and made several donations to strengthen and augment capacities across the County.

The Pepci Development Initiative on Thursday, July 1, 2021 embarked upon the refilling of all empty oxygen tanks across health centers in Lofa to include the Voinjama Telewoyan and Zorzor Curran Lutheran hospitals.

Mr. Yeke also provided 5.5kva Generator for the Zorzor treatment Center, seven bundle of zinc for Radio life, 100 bags of cement for Alternative Radio and five bundle of zinc for the elder house all within Zorzor District.

Making the presentation on behalf of the Pepci Development Initiative the Coordinator, Bob Gizzie said the refilling of tanks will continue for six months to include the fueling of the generator as means to empower the county health authorities to combat the deadly pandemic in that part of the country.

According to Gizzie, Yeke is preoccupied about the wellbeing of his people within the health crisis as such the gesture is a personal contribution to protect them and safe lives.

For their part, the recipients termed the donation timely as they lauded the efforts and vow to make good of the donation.

Pepci Yeke who is also the Executive Director of Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) as part of personal initiative in the month of June installed high quality solar lights in Fissebu, Lofa County.
