Liberia’s Integrity Hero, Emmanuel Tuloe who found missing US$50,000.00 and returned it to the rightful owner arrived in Monrovia on Sunday October 17, 2021 on the invitation of Liberian president George Weah.
Emmanuel told Liberia Public Radio upon his arrival from his hometown in Gbloor Dialla, Nimba he returned the money because it does not belong to him.
He is urging motorcyclists to be fair in whatever they do.
The 19-year-old whose biological father died of drowning when he was just few months old in 2002 has now become an integrity hero in Liberia after he found US$50,000 and later returned the amount.
Some integrity experts are calling on Liberia anti-grab agency to name a bill in honor of little Emmanuel who has made Liberia proud and presents himself as an example that others can followed.
“I give the money back because it does not belong to me”, he told Liberia Public Radio in an interview on Sunday in Monrovia. Emmanuel, a 7th grade dropout is hoping to continue his education when given some financial assistance- a situation many of his peers have been mocking.
Representative Dorwon Gleekia, who represents District#6 in Nimba says he and other well-meaning Liberians will go all out to ensure that little Emmanuel Tuloe welfare is taken care of.
Representative Gleekia described Emmanuel as an ambassador that national integrity institutions like the Liberia Anti-corruption Commission (LACC) can work with to set good example for future generations.
“Emmanuel Should be seen like an ambassador that integrity institution can work with so that others can follow”, Rep. Gleekia told Liberia Public Radio.
Details of what exactly the president Weah will tell Emmanuel and his parents is still unclear, but from all indication education and welfare of little Emmanuel will be highlighted during the discussion.
