Christian Revival Church Association and partner provide free medical treatment in Western Liberia

Hundreds of rural dwellers in Gbarpolu county and surrounding areas in Western Liberia have benefited from free medical treatment provided by a team of Christian doctors and nurses from the United States.

 The initiative is being carryout by the Christian Revival Church Association of Liberia in partnership the U.S. based Set Free Alliance, from Greenville, South Carolina.

The team has previous been in Liberia providing free medical care for Liberians who can’t afford medical fees.

A member of the medical team Sarah Kelly told Liberia Public Radio recently before their departure to the county that she and her team of medical doctors comprising of pediatrician and nurses will be treating several medical conditions in the area.

Madam Kelly named Malaria, skin infections and typhoid as some common ailment the team are treating while in Gbarpolu County.

According to her, the team will work along with local community clinics to treat people that need some medical care free of charge.

At same time the head of the Christian Revival Church Association of Liberia Bishop Dennis Aggrey while in Gbarpolu County the team will also teach some community women skills training like baking, soap making and tie and dye.

Bishop Aggrey added that they will also use the opportunity to spread the word of God with the local community by screening Jesus Christ film to them.

The head of the CRCA further disclosed that the latest medical mission of their annual November free medical care provided to the underprivileged over the years in rural Liberia.

“We have done this over the years, we hope to treat over 500 to 800 people. We will be sharing the gospel with them and helping these ladies how to make soap, all is to glorify the name of God”, Bishop Aggrey said.

He disclosed that another two teams comprising nurses, doctors and pastors are due to arrive in Liberia shortly to provide free services in Nimba, Lofa and neighboring Sierra.

CRCA, a non-indigenous church planting ministry with several churches in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone comprising over 600 1,000 members.
