Kpatawee Water Fall to get new facilities soon

The people of Kpatawee water fall station and other surrounding villages will soon smile as the construction of modern facility aimed at holding and catering to the welfare of children with disability is to get underway in the area.

A local non for profit group, Najea Village of hope Incorporated leading the construction of the proposed multipurpose facility.

The multipurpose facility near the famous Kpatawee water fall in Suakoko Bong County according to the group will host less fortunate children as well as for use by the District.

Speaking at the pre-launching of the project in Kpatawee Clan, madam Sharon Sumo Lounder, vice president for Najea Village of Hope extolled the people of Suakoko for granting her organization the opportunity to build facilities that will host children and bring development in the area.

Madam Louder told the audience that she and her institution were delighted that after several months of negotiations, traditional leaders and elder of Kpatawee have seen reason to offer a parcel of land for the construction of a multipurpose facility which will include school for kids and vocational skills training center.

The Najea Village of Hope vice president added that their goal is to seek the welfare and raise the hope of children who are orphans.

“We’re delighted to be here today and celebrating this historical moment. We want to also be grateful to the indigenous people for their support towards this project. Let me say a very big thanks to the traditional people in making sure that they support every step of this process until we reach this far” madam Lounder said”.

Speaking on behalf of Bong County Superintendent Esther Walker, Mr. Daniel E. Dudu, commissioner of Suakoko District speaking admonished residents of the Kpatawee to along with Najea Village of Hope to ensure that the project comes to fruition.

Commissioner Dudu asserted if the project must be smoothly implemented, the support of everyone was needed as re-affirmed the commitment of Superintendent Walker’s office in working with Najea village for successful implementation of the project.

“If the people complain about you because you are being paid and misbehave we will take stands against you”, said commissioner Dudu.

The project according to the plan will include vocational and technical school, academic school for people living with disability, staff quarter and a teacher’s quarter as well as a rural shopping mall.

The Kpatawee water fall is one of Liberia most touristic sites located in Kpatawee Clan, Suakoko District Bong, Central Liberia.
