Trabzonspor are reportedly in contact with Slavia Prague over the transfer of versatile defender Murphy Oscar Dorley – but the Červenobílí are holding out for a fee in the region of £3.5m and a replacement before letting the Liberian leave.
The Black Sea Storm are intensifying their bid to sign Slavia Praha wingback this winter, claims Turkish website Fotospor.
The 23-year-old defender current deal expires in June 2025 and the Turkish Liga leader want him to run his contract down.
Dorley have spent nearly four seasons with the Červenobílí while racking up 72 appearances for the club, he managed to catch the eye of Trabzonspor who are uncomfortable with the situation on the left of the defence. And the leader of the Turkish Süper Liga wants to solve this problem with the talented Liberian.
According to turkish Sports, the clubs have discussed both the possibility of a loan deal and a permanent one, and even Oscar Representative Dmitry Vinokurov had travel twice to Istanbul, last month to discuss the interest of his client.
But the question, however, remains whether coach Jindřich Trpišovský will be willing to release his once favorite footballer.
Slavia Prague had lost regular leftback, captain Jan Boři to injury and the Czech Republic International looks likely to be out for the rest of the Season. While Oscar Dorley the main alternative to the left edge of Slavic defense is suspended for three games, and that has put huge greenlight to the Trabzon move.
In this regard, Slavia Praha are also looking into signing Mladá Boleslav’s David jurásek. The left-back has been linked with the club for a while, as replacement for Jan Boři, while Oscar Dorley his potential replacement, has fallen out with Coach Trpisovsky for a reckless redcard he received in the Slavists last outing 3-3 draw against Ostrava last December.
It is becoming more likely that Oscar Dorley, will leave Praha, this January has Trabzonspor have intensify their interest in the Liberian, while Slavists is eagerly interested in Boleslav’s David Juràsek as Coach Jindřich Trpišovský, seem to be unhappy with Oscar performances recently, It was reported that the coach even voice his anger at Dorley for his short circuit in the draw with Ostrava.
“I can’t bite what Oscar showed,” he said angrily after a 3-3 draw in Ostrava. “I spent four minutes on the cabin break explaining to him not to have a second yellow card. And he’ll make a foul straight to red, Trpišovský had said in an aftermatch press conference.
This statement seem that the Czech Manager Trpišovský was not impressed with the Liberian and would look to partaway with the Midfielder he bought from Slovan Liberec and transformed him to fullback.
It seem Jindřich Trpišovský has lost all confidence in Murphy Oscar Dorley’s ability to excel in his Slavia Praha side, claims Sport. And has no plan to keep the Liberian defender for a longer time at Sinobo Stadium.
The report said, if Trpišovský can get his man, David jurásek of Mladá Boleslav’s, Slavia Praha will be willing to listen to offers for Dorley and could sell him for the right offer this Winter or push for lucrative deal in the Summer.
The Liberian international is contracted to 2025 at the Sinobo Stadium and isn’t really eager to leave anytime soon.
But with Trpišovský prefering another leftback (David jurásek) as an alternative to skipper Jan Boři over him, Dorley could be forced to leave Slavia Praha to get regular minutes elsewhere.
Meanwhile, report said Slavia Praha are ahead of rival Sparta Praha in the race for David Jurásek and are only minor details away to ironed out the deal, before his official announcement, It’s said that the Červenobílí has offer 15 million euros to Mladá Boleslav, but the head of the club Josef Dufek would like to collect an amount ranging from 20-25 million euros for a 21-year-old talented Czech footballer.
If that deal goes through for Slavia Praha, meaning Murphy Oscar Dorley is prepared to wrapped up his three and a half year of footballing with the Slavists and move elsewhere, precisely Turkey for regular minutes as Trabzonspor seem to be the frontrunner for his signature, While English Premier League sides Leeds United and Manchester City are another persuader of the Liberian International .
Oscar Dorley moved to Prague’s Slavia in the summer of 2019 from Slovan Liberec.
He came to Eden as a midfielder, but coach Jindřich Trpišovský decided to make him a left defender as an alternative to Jan Bořil. The Liberian has scored three goals and contributed to two championship titles and a triumph in the Czech Cup so far.
