In the aftermath of Power packed Church Crusade in the Densely -Populated Borough of New Kru Town that led to a stampede, a former lawmaker of the area Dr. Edward Ford has urged the Government of Liberia to strongly tackle criminals to avoid future occurrence.
The head of the Bushord College of Science and Technology and former Montserrado County District #16 Representative Dr. Edward Ford seemed to Angry at the Government of Liberia, through the Liberia National police (LNP) on the way in which they are handling Criminals, something he said is causing rampage of criminal curtails in the Country.
Dr. Ford said it could be threatened if the country fails to get a grip on Criminals.
He wants the Liberia National Police (LNP) to be more reboost in handling potential criminals, by using the law and be vigilents.
“Don’t Patronize Criminals, they’re the main Pepetrators of Crimes, and are the victims of this terrible circumstances and I’m sadden about the untimely deaths of our people, “this should,ve been avoided, if we were not patronizing criminals curtails, by given them money and food, while they in returns hurt us and we’re the victims, Dr. Ford said in Anger.
Dr. Edward Ford urged the Police to implement their duties under the laws of Liberia and deal with criminals, whenever they breach the law.
“Let the Government treats crimes as a crime, regardless from where its come from, he said.
“These Criminals you see today, like their nicknames you are beautifying as “Zogos” or disadvantages youth, are not different like the students we teach, they’ve different background and their stories not the same, but there stories are not so different from the Children we teach every day.
At least 29 people died including 18 adults, 17 females and two males, 11 Children that occurred at the D-Tweh Sports pitch in the Borough of newkru town, following a church crusade organized by its General Oversearer Apostle Abraham Kromah.
It appeared that Dr. Ford was directing his comments about police interactions with suspected criminals in general and want drasty actions be taken against them to minimize crimes rates in the country.

In the meantime Liberian President George Weah has declared a 3-day of National Mourning following the tragic and heavy loss of lives, following the stampede in densely populated New Kru Town.
The President expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of the bereaved; while thanking all those who provided help to the victims in the immediate aftermath. President Weah ordered that the national flag be flown at half-mast at all public buildings throughout the Republic while the nation mourns.
