The government of Côte d’Ivoire has announced what appeared to be the reduction of health checks at the Felix Houphouet Boigny International airport in Abidjan for arriving and departing travelers.
According to a press statement signed by Mr. Amadou KONE and Mr. Pierre Dimba of the Ivorian health authority quoted “We are pleased to inform you that in view of the evolution of the moderate circulation of COVID 19 on our territory and in the absence of new variants, the regulations put in place within the framework of COVID 19 for travelers will be reduced as follows”:
For travelers to Côte d’Ivoire will need to present the proof of full vaccination, the PCR test is no longer required as a travel health document.
Unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated travelers to Côte d’Ivoire, proof of a negative PCR test is required as a travel health document.
Departing passengers:
Travelers will need to present the proof of full vaccination are exempt from the PCR test for a country that does not require it as an entry health document.
For travelers not or incompletely vaccinated, proof of a negative PCR test is required as a travel health document.
The validity of PCR test results is now increased from 48 hours to 72 hours.
The Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage (MSHPCMU) and the Ministry of Transport adopted these new measures which come into force on the date of signature of this press release done in Abidjan, March 07, 2022
