Ahead of 2023 elections, new political Parties collaboration to be announced in Liberia

The organizing Authority of the Democratic Alliance of Liberia (DAL) will on Monday May 23, 2022 officially announce to Liberia and the world at large its intention to organize an opposition alliance for saving democracy and promotion security, peace, stability and good governance in Liberia.

According to a release, the formal pronouncement of the existence of the DAL will take place at the National headquarters of the Democratic People’s Party of Liberia (DPPL), adjacent the American cooperative school (ACS), on the old road in sinkor, Monrovia at 12:00 noon.

The declaration of intent, which is a resolve to reenergize the opposition community, follows many month consultations and negotiation that have been induced by the disintegration of the collaboration political parties (CPP) and the need to save the democratic way of life in Liberia.

The release further quoted that  DAL comprises of liberal, radical, and progressive grassroots political parties, organization and individuals in Liberia and the Liberian diaspora.

It is being established on the basic of those that  believe  it is possible for Liberian of difference ideological persuasion and from different linguistic, cultural, social, religious and regional background to work together on a common plan in the best interest of all Liberians.

“The organizing authority of the DAL encourages all patriotic and well-meaning Liberian at home and abroad to support and promote the DAL process”, release signed by organizing Chairman Prof. Alaric K. Tokpah added.

If launched will be the latest alliance to conglomerate forces during the 2023 elections after the embattled Collaborating political Parties (CPP).
