Liberia Public Radio gets accreditation from Ivorian government; prepares to establish full bureau in Abidjan

17th Sanford Street, PAWTUCKET, RI 02860 USA_Liberia Public Radio correspondent in Côte d’Ivoire has been accredited by the Ivorian Communication Ministry in Abidjan enjoying every right and privilege accorded the media industry of that County.

Mr. Benjamin TEGBEH, a Liberian journalist who joined LPR in early 2021 has been fully recognized by the government of Côte d’Ivoire as a Correspondent for the Liberia Public Radio and can now freely operate in the Country as Foreign Journalist. 

The issuance of the accreditation gives him access to cover major events and that his security and safety will be guaranteed under the Ivorian law as a foreign Journalist.

Mr. TEGBEH hold over 16 years experience in journalism and public relations having graduated from the Jireh School of Journalism 2005 in Monrovia, Liberia.

From 2005 – 2007 he served as an intern Reporter for DC 101, Power FM, and The New Footprint Newspaper, among others.

From 2010 – 2015 Mr. TEGBEH also served as a Correspondent for the African Standard Online News and the Global News Network (GNN) Liberia respectively.

Meanwhile the management of Liberia Public Radio has expressed heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Ivorian authority for the recognition given to its correspondent and assured that Mr.Tegbeh will obey all rules governing foreign correspondent  with due diligence.

Alphonso Zean Soe, Chief Executive Officer of Liberia Public Radio described the accreditation of the entity as a “great news” that will go a long way as the institution prepares to establish a full bureau in Abidjan. 

Liberia Public Radio is an online radio and Television services with headquarter in Rhode Island, United States of America and Liberia office in Paynesville City Liberia. LPR is registered as a nonprofit, nongovernmental and non-political  incorporated in the state of  Rhode Island / and Federal Government thus granting LPR a 501C3 Status  in 2013;  and also was incorporated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and registered  with the Liberia Business Registry in 2018.

It also have partnership with the African Star Newspaper and with more than five radio stations in Liberia including Sky fm in Monrovia and Flash FM in Zwedru in Southeastern We are also in partnership with Journalists for the Protection of Nature (JPN-Liberia), an environmental media NGO in Liberia.

The station has a   news website and social media platforms;Facebook, YouTube, Twitter LinkedIn and Mixtrl where most of its broadcasts can be streamed.
