Bong County Electoral District#6 Representative Mioma Briggs- Mensah has provided five million Liberian Dollars (LD5M) to empower several women grouping in the Frelela Bong County.


speaking during the presentation Representative Mensah said if the socio and economic development of Liberia should move forward the need to empower Liberian Women cannot be overly emphasized.


The Bong County Lawmaker made available made available the amount on August 6, 2022 at the end of the dedication of six major projects including a market building in Frelela town, Salala District.


The lawmaker also dedicated among others a motorcycles parking station, and a coal station.

She noted that these basic facilities are crucial to residents as they carry out their daily activities.

Representative Mensah stressed that the welfare of the people of the district has been her major priority over the years noting that she is been moved by critics.


She lamented that the people of Salala District should not be carried away by those who criticizes her, but they should concern themselves with her works in the district and her representation at the Legislature.


She indicated that she remained an independent candidate for the pending 2023 general elections.


Representative Mensah emphasized that the development of the district and people should not be at any point in time compromised for anything. 


The dedicatory of the six projects brought together people from towns and villages especially women and youth in Salala District in Bong County who pledged their support to the second term bid of Representative Mioma Briggs-Memsah.
