For enhancing smooth operation of financial transactions and proper monitoring system, the National Road Fund of Liberia (NRF) Tuesday launched a software named Stage 300 window software for for the institution.
According to NRF boss, Boniface Saitu the goals of the new software is intended to promote transparency and accountability and donor confidence in the entity.
He added that the software was build to enhance smooth financial management system in making the work of the NRF easy for staffers and senior management team.
Mr. Saitu added that the project is also aiming to mitigate paper based system with the system noting that the software is designed to build the already broken system.
Speaking at the launch of the new software, the NRF Director added further that the system will help to collaborate with partners and financial institutions in providing accountability and transparency during audit or any foul play with in the system.
Established in 2015, the national Road Fund of Liberia collects funding through additional tariff imposed on gasoline sale in Liberia. A recent report by the entity said more than $50million has been collected since the collection of fees started in 2017.
