President Weah dedicates Skating rink at Invincible Park

President George Weah  on Friday, 9 September 2022, dedicated the Skating rink, an annex part of the famous Invincible Sports Park in Sinkor.

The Skating Rink is being dedicated as a combination rollers and a mini Max for refreshment as it was characterized by performances in the skating rink.

In his short remark, President George Weah said the Skating Rink will enable young people who have an interest in Skating in the country to practice. He noted that skating is part of the regular exercise for both youths and young adults in every part of the World.

Skating according to the Liberian Chief executive is essential as such there is a need for skaters to have a specific area at the Invincible sports park.

President Weah, than urged officials of the Skating federation to manage and maintain the Annex for the improvement of the beautiful sport.

Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony the Minister of state without portfolio Trokon A. Kpui, explains that he was instructed by the Liberian chief executive, President George Manneh Weah to identify areas around the park for the construction of an annex for skaters.

Min. Kpui said in that light the establishment of the annex derived from skaters using the driveway for practice on a daily basis, and the risks involved, allow them to design an area just adjacent  the park for the Skating ring.

He described as unfortunate situation consideration the risk involved with vehicles entering and leaving the premises of the park, while the children are skating.

Meanwhile, few skaters whom spoke to the NEW DAWN, expresses desire that all the Invincible Sports Park now has Skating Rink for them to practice, they lauded the President for recognizing them and acknowledged the fact that the government of Liberia is now trying to see interest skating
