Brown’s Foundation fetes underprivileged Children with foods, clothes, others

Telee Brown’s Charity Foundation a non- for profit Organisation, has put smiles on the faces of hundreds children across three counties, namely Montserrado, Bong, and Bomi Counties, during the Christmas and New Year Festival, as a way given out to the needed during the time of sharing exhibition of Love and goodness.

The Telee Brown’s Foundation, at the weekend continue its exercise of given by providing, food, clothing, toys and other items to less-privileged children of rural Montserrado, including some part of the urban areas, Rehab Cooper farm, Chicken Soup factory- gardnersville, Naama, Bong County and Klay District, Bomi County.

Founder, Deacon Telee Brown of the United Lutheran Church of Liberia, explained to the Liberia Public Radio, that the gesture was always to make the underprivileged kids happy every time, thereby recalling that he used to be disturbed about what to wear during Christmas going by his humble background.

Presenting the items and gifts to the children in various communities, across the three counties, Chief Administrative of the Telee Brown- humanitarian Foundation, Princess Brown, said the initiative started over the last few years, She recounted: “We started this Initiatives over the last few years, given out to the needed, paying Children school fees as part of our foundation aimed and objectives, this isn’t about only Christmas celebrations, we’ve outreach and always identifies with those children, who parents can not afford, My vision has been to care for the needy both children and the aged (senior citizens), She said.

“When I was growing up, my parents weren’t that buoyant and I was looking forward to wearing Christmas clothes and eating rice and chicken. Then my father would ask me to choose between wearing Christmas clothes and eating rice and chicken, She smiles.

Madam Brown, said “What the Brown’s humanitarian Foundation does every year is to organize outreaches for the less-privileged both young and old, But Christmas holiday is mostly for children.

As part of the program, there were songs from children and a friendly interaction between them Santa, as they received their toys, biscuits, and popcorns, although for most children it was their first time of such interaction as some had little fear but gathered courage to play with Santa. There were cheers seen on the faces of children during the events and group photos with Santa.

On behalf of the beneficiary of the Christmas initiative for kids, little Helena Johnson, used the occasion to thanks Madam Princess Brown for the kind gesture especially during this festive celebration.

Meanwhile, the Brown’s Humanitarian Foundation, is currently, enrolling approximately 20 underprivileged kids at St. Mugagga’s Catholic School, in Klay District, the Samuel D. Hill in Tubmanburg, the Emmanuel Temple High School in Clara Town, the Dominic Catholic School in Tubmanburg , Trinity Elementary School at Maher Bridge, among others.
