Winners Inc. Rewards National County Meets Winners with 2 Million LD Cash Prizes

Liberia’s Biggest Sports Betting Company, and online gaming brand, Winners Incorporated has rewarded, winners and individuals awards cash prizes, totaling the amount of $ two- millions Liberian dollars to winners of the 26 Episodes 2022-2023 edition of the National County Sports Meets, Liberia Premium Sports Event.

Nimba County, Last year winner, triumph Victorious of the Men Soccer Category, with a hard fought 3-2 win over rival Lofa County, in an epic clash played at the examination hall of Liberian Football the famous Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Sports Complex, that draws together, nearly 50,000 of Supporters, and Liberian football fans.


In the other Categories, Lofa County, on the other hand, won the kickball version of the National County Sports Meet, after handling a 2-0 home runs defeat to rival Nimba County, retaining the trophy for the second time, while Sinoe County, won the Basketball Trophy, after defeating Montserrado County, at the SKD gymnasium in Paynesville.

Liberia Premier Sports betting Company, Winners Incorporated Liberia, rewarded, brilliant players, and the teams with cash prizes, as a way of being a part and supporting Sports in Liberia, through the National County Sports Meet, though they were never a prime Sponsor of the Tournament, the giant Sports betting and gaming Company, came lately to form a part of it, as their calm gesture is aimed at motivating, young players and way of promoting sports in Liberia, Garysen Inkome Diah, Public Relations to the Sports Betting Company, told Journalists, during the Ceremony, on Monday, 16, January 2023, at Winners Inc, head office on Broad street, Monrovia, Liberia.

At a ceremony to hand over the Cash prizes to each winners, of the 2023 Edition of the National County Sports Meet, Country Manager of Winners Incorporated Liberia, Yacob Batshon, mentioned that as the Sports betting Company marks its decades of operations in Liberia, Winners Inc. will continue to support sports in the Country, in whatsoever ways they can reach out as way of promoting sports in Liberia.

Mr. Batshon, was delighted that Winners Inc, can form part of co-sponsors of the National County Sports Meet, and relinquishes praises on the Tournament of being the most attracted sports event in Liberia, that draws supporters together, and bring citizens in Unity.


According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Winners Inc., Mr. Yacob Batshon, supporting the National County Sports Meet with Cash Prizes, is its way of affirming the government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Youth & Sports (MYS), of promoting Sports in Liberia.


He said because Winners Inc. sees itself as a Partner with the government and people of Liberia and must at all times play a positive role, in whatever endeavor they forsee as interest, especially Sports.

For his part, the Deputy Minister for Sports, at the Ministry of Youth & Sports, G. Andy Quamie, thanks, Winners Inc, for the calm gesture of cash prizes towards the National County Sports, something he said came as a surprise to the Ministry of Youth & Sports, whom were struggling to deliver it’s commitments of little cash prizes to winners of every categories, of this year County Sports Meet.


Mr. Quamie, acknowledged, ArcelorMittal Limited of being a Prime Sponsor of the event, but praises Winners Incorporated for their wonderful impact, despite incoming in late to support the event, He said the Ministry of Youth & Sports, is looking forward to partnering with Winners Inc, the proper way, to support next edition of the County Sports Meet.


The Same time, the deputy Minister for Youth & Sports, Mr.Quamie, used the occasion to encourage, young players, participating in the Tournament, to strives and do more, and not to complacent of the award and cash given to them, but to work harder to achieve in greater and help make Liberia proud.


In Brief, remark, Former Liberia’s Lone Star Captain, Anthony Slonthi Laffor, who last played for Chippa United F.C and Mamelodi Sundown, in the South African ABSA Premier League, expressed excitement of the National County Sports Meet, but encouraged who competing now, to excel efforts in going to the top, as they now has the opportunity in their hands, than yesteryears.


He said, young players, now should be doing more than their best, not to limit themselves to just the County Sports Meet, because they have all the availability, to reach to the top, and make Liberia, urging them to believe in themselves, that they can excel to the top levels in Football around the World.
The annual sports festival the (County Sports Meet) is aimed at uniting the people of Liberia and is played among the 15 sub-division of the country. Its objective is to scout talents for the various national teams of Liberia and such objectives are key to sports development and peace promotion.


Meanwhile, Nimba County Champion of the 2023 Edition of the National County Sports Meet, took home a cash of $ 1,000000 Million Liberian dollars from Winners Inc, while Lofa County, Kickball Champions, Sinoe County, Basketball Champions, all pocketed, $500,000 Liberian dollars respectively from Winners Incorporated as winner of each categories.


At the same time, Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Men Soccer Category, 16-year-old Emmanuel Sieh of Nimba County, Top Scorer, James Messi Tarpeh of Lofa County, and the Most Valuable Female Kickballer l, Vero Frances of Lofa County, all took home a cash prize of 25,000 Liberian dollars respectively.


Ezekiel Doekpa, Best Coach in the Kickball Category from Lofa County, Nimba County Mouctarr Fofana, Best Coach in the Male Soccer Category, and Alane Koffa of Nimba County, the best kickball pitcher all came home smiling with cash prizes of 25, 000 each from Winners INC.
