The Ambassador of the Republic of Liberia to Côte d’Ivoire has called on Liberians to unit themselves and work together for the betterment of their activities in their country of residence and Liberia.
Ambassador Willie Mai Tolbert-King noted that without peace and unity among Liberians residing in Côte d’Ivoire and other parts of the World it will be barely impossible to achieve their goals and objectives.
The Liberian government special representative lauded what she termed as a cordial relationship between the Liberian Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire and the Liberian Community at large.
She pointed out the foreign mission has been working with the Liberian Community in neighboring Côte d’Ivoire and Always willing to help strengthen its relationship in the future.
Ambassador Tolbert-King spoke in an exclusive interview with the Liberia Public Radio Correspondent in Abobo, Abidjan on Saturday, September 9, 2023 in observance of the National Flag Day of Liberia.
The program initiated by the Liberian Embassy as a way to foster peace and unity among Liberians living in Cote in collaboration with the Liberian Community in the West African state of Côte d’Ivoire.
Sporting festival
The day’s activities started with a football match between the Invisible Elven (IE) and Mighty Barrow with IE defeating Barrow 2-1 goals.
Although Liberians celebrate, the National Flag Day on Liberians observed August 24 each year, but this special day on September 9, 2023 outside their mother’s land in remembrance of the Lone Star forever.
The program brought together Liberians from various Liberian Community groups that made up of the Liberian Community in Cote d’Ivoire.
Those local Liberian Community groups include; Yopougon, Deux Plateaux, Vridi, Abobo, Cocody, Anono among others.
