The first preliminary results released Tuesday by the National Elections Commission (NEC) shows that Boakai 78, won 2,540 votes in Bomi constituting 64.0% while incumbent President George Weah got 1,134 constituting 28.54% from Bomi County.
In Montserrado, the most populated county in the country, Boakai accrued 576 while Weah got 547 from 1 polling place.
The results are from 7 polling places of the total 2,080 polling places across the country.
