In a rallying call to energize support for the upcoming presidential runoff election, Senator Saah Joseph, a prominent political figure in Liberia, has encouraged marketers in Montserrado County to increase their votes for the incumbent President, George Weah.

As Liberia gears up for a critical presidential runoff election, Senator Saah Joseph, a close ally of President George Weah, addressing a crowd of enthusiastic marketers at a gathering in District #17 Montserrado County Thursday October 26, 2023 made a passionate call  in which he implored the vibrant marketing community to play a significant role in determining the nation’s leadership.

“ we want the number of votes in this area be high, the result we got from here was too low. The president, my big brother has promised to do more we all need to give him the second change”, senator Joseph added.

Liberians are expected to go to the poll on November 14, 2023 for a runoff presidential election between incumbent president George Manneh Weah and ex-vice president Joseph Nyumah Boakai after a first round of voting ended with none of the 20 candidates failing to reach 50% plus one vote to be declared outright winner.

Senator Joseph, known for his charismatic and energetic approach to politics, highlighted the importance of their votes, emphasizing that the nation’s future rested on the collective decision of its citizens. He spoke about President Weah’s vision for Liberia and the progress made during his first  tenure, especially in Montserrado County.

“President Weah’s administration has made significant strides in the areas of infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. Montserrado County, in particular, has witnessed tangible improvements,” Senator Joseph noted during his address.

He went on to urge the marketers, who form a significant portion of the county’s population, to show their appreciation for these accomplishments by casting their votes in favor of President Weah during the presidential runoff election. Senator Joseph stated that their support could help continue the positive trajectory of development in Liberia.
