Bong District 3 representative Josiah Marvin Cole has been charged by Police in the county for his alleged involvement in ordering the brutal beating of Allison Kollie , the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Gbonota clinic.
Our correspondent quotes police charge sheet as saying the Representative Cole ordered the assault on Mr. Kollie after during the heat of the November 14 presidential runoff campaign when a supporter of the Unity Party had gone to the clinic to had meeting with the heath workers.
Prior to the police charge Rep Cole has denied any wrongdoing saying he was not present when the Gbonota clinic’s OIC was brutalized.
He was charged with criminal facilitations, criminal solicitation, criminal conspiracy and physical obstruction of Government function.
His charges are consistent with section 10.2, 10.3 10.4 of penal code.
According to Police charge sheet, on the instruction of Rep Cole, his surrogates unmercifully flogged Allison Kollie during his visit at the clinic.
The accused have all been forwarded to the Gbarnga Magisterial Court for prosecution.
