The Forestry Society of Liberia (FOSLib) has extended its heartfelt appreciation to President Joseph Boakai for the appointment of Mr. Rudolph Merab as the new Managing Director of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA).

The Forestry Society of Liberia, a nationally oriented forestry and forest sector professionals and technicians comprising veteran foresters, active service foresters, forest practitioners and forest sector corporate managers, and forestry students, expressed profound gratitude to President Boakai for his discerning selection of Mr. Rudolph Merab as the new Managing Director of the FDA.
Mr. Merab’s appointment comes at a crucial juncture for Liberia’s forestry sector, as the nation continues to navigate challenges related to illegal logging, deforestation, and biodiversity conservation. With his wealth of experience in forestry management and his demonstrated leadership capabilities, the society believes Mr. Merab is well-equipped to steer the FDA towards greater efficiency and effectiveness in fulfilling its mandate.
