In a press briefing at his residence following his official induction into office, Executive Youth Chairman Mr. Korvah Garbah assured the young people of the People United Community that their decision to elect him was not a mistake.

Mr. Garbah outlined his priorities, starting with security. He emphasized the need to install streetlights in key areas of the community to help reduce crime. Regarding sanitation, he promised to implement a robust system that ensures a clean and healthy environment, working alongside the Executive Chairman to develop a systematic approach involving all community residents.

Addressing road conditions, Mr. Garbah acknowledged the challenges faced by previous leadership in making community roads passable, citing funding constraints. He pledged to collaborate with partners to address these issues and improve road accessibility.

On youth empowerment, he highlighted plans to create better opportunities for young people within the community. He expressed his readiness to work with local NGOs to provide the right environment for capacity building and to channel young people’s energy into productive ventures.

Mr. Garbah welcomed constructive criticism, urging everyone to unite in a spirit of collaboration and reconciliation for the benefit of the youth.

He expressed deep appreciation for the trust and confidence placed in him, promising to lead with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to positive change. He stressed that his leadership would be inclusive, ensuring the active involvement of all young people regardless of their background or affiliation.

Additionally, he pledged to work closely with the Executive Chairman of the community to ensure that the voices and interests of the youth are effectively represented in decision-making processes. He underscored that cooperation between leadership bodies is essential in fostering unity, driving development, and creating opportunities for young people to thrive.
