President Joseph Boakai has appointed Samuel A. Stevquoah as the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, replacing Sylvester Grisby, who passed away last month after a long illness.

Stevquoah is a prominent administrator with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. His career includes significant roles that showcase his strategic thinking, leadership skills, and dedication to public service.

Currently, he serves as the Minister of State Without Portfolio for Special Services, where he manages selected presidential projects and helps shape national policy and decision-making. Stevquoah’s public service experience includes a 12-year tenure as Chief of Staff in the Office of then Vice President Joseph N. Boakai, Sr. From 2006 to 2017, he led a diverse team and oversaw all functions within the Vice President’s office. His role included serving as the primary spokesperson, representing the Vice President at local and international events, and contributing to speechwriting, staff training, and the coordination of the Vice President’s agricultural initiatives.

From 2018 to 2024, he transitioned to the private sector, holding leadership roles in a multinational publicly traded company. There, he took on various positions, including Head of Corporate Services, Government Affairs, and Community Relations.
