The Liberian Government has released official activities for the funeral of Montserrado County Representative Adolph Lawrence.
On Tuesday, April 23 to the April 24, the Book of condolence for the late Representative Lawrence will be opened in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building.
On Thursday, April 25, the Body of the falling Montserrado County Representative will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Parlors in Sinkor and taken to the Capitol Building to lie in State at 10am.
Representative Lawrence’s Body will be later taken to the Paynesville Town Hall for one night of wake-keeping from 5PM to 12midnight and thereafter the body will be returned to Funeral Parlors.
According to a protocol release by the office of the Chief of Protocol, the Body will also be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Parlors in Sinkor at 8:30AM and taken to the Sacred Heart Cathedral on Broad Street in Monrovia for one hour of wake-keeping.
The release said funeral rite will be said over the remains of the late Adolph Lawrence at the Sacred Heart Cathedral beginning at 11AM followed by interment at the Kaizer Lawn Cemetery in Brewerville City outside Monrovia.
Meanwhile, President George Weah has declared Thursday, April 25 a day of National Mourning and instructed that the National ensign of the Republic be flown at half-mast from all public buildings in Montserrado County.
The lawmaker died in a tragic motor accident early Monday March 25, 2019 near the Tower Hill Community off the Robertsfield Highway after celebrating his 50th birthday.
Representative Adolph Lawrence (Independent, District # 15 Montserrado County, was a former Chair of the House Committee on Lands, Natural Resources and Environment.
