Chiefs and Elders of Mobata Clan in Jorquelleh, Electoral District #2 have gowned Bong County Senator and Caucus Chairman, Henry Willie Yallah for his numerous contribution towards development in the county.
According to the Chiefs and elders, Sen. Yallah was gowned for his outstanding services to Bong County since his election in 2011.
In a statement, read by Paramount Chief D. Hanson M. Gweh, the chiefs and elders named the reconditioning of roads, building of bridges, schools, clinics and the awarding of financial aid to youths of Bong county as some of the reasons for gowning the Kokoyah Native.
The Chiefs and Elders said since his ascendency, Sen. Yallah has never underrepresented nor brought shame to Bong County.
The Mobata Clan Chiefs and Elders then pledged to support the initiatives of Senator Yallah and other future endeavors.
In special remarks the program held Wednesday in Tolomalan, Electoral District #2, Bong county, Sen. Yallah thanked the chiefs and elders and termed the gowning as a total surprise.
He then promised to go all out and bring the developments that the people of Bong County deserve. Sen. Yallah then used the occasion to inform Chiefs and Elders of the county that all modalities are being worked out and that they will shortly be placed on government’s payroll.
Sen. Yallah said though the economy of the country is tight, he assured chiefs and elders that everything is being concluded and that chiefs that were appointed by President George Weah will shortly be placed on government’s payroll to benefit from their labor too.
It can be recalled that several local chiefs were in 2018 appointed by president Geoerge Manneh but are yet to receive salary due to budget constraint that government faces.
